A long tradition of innovation development
The innovation campus at Lund University is one of the largest and most consolidated units for innovation development in Europe. It provides a firm foundation on which to base commercial exploitation of research in the biosciences. Lund has a long tradition in the development of innovations and ready access to experienced entrepreneurs and advisors.
The Biomedical Centre – The Biomedical Centre is the largest single centre at Lund University for research and education with a total of 1,250 staff and students. Over 100 prominent research teams work together in a stimulating research environment. A large part of the educational courses in the Faculty, primarily student doctors and students in biomedicine, takes place in the Biomedical Centre.
Bioincubator – Lund Bioincubator is housed in the Biomedical Centre. The aim of Lund Bioincubator is to stimulate the establishment of new bioscience companies and to support their growth. The first Bioincubator companies moved into the Centre in the spring of 2007. Between 10 and 15 companies are expected to move there in the next few years.
Ideon Science Park - In its 25-year history, Ideon has been at the heart of the growth of a large number of companies. Today Ideon Science Park is the largest science village in Scandinavia with a cluster of more than 250 companies with approximately 3,000 employees.
